MAKING A DIFFERENCE
THE ROTARY MOTTO IS ‘SERVICE ABOVE SELF‘
The Wilbraham Rotary Memorial Foundation’s goal is to focus on working towards providing a safe and healthy place for children and adolescents to learn, grow, and thrive.
To promote education, the Foundation awards annually post-secondary scholarships to outstanding students residing in Wilbraham or Hampden.
Each year, the Foundation donates dictionaries to every third grader in Wilbraham and Hampden to encourage their natural curiosity for words. It is one of the most critical aspects of building a foundation for a successful education. This tradition has become a back to school highlight for third graders.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards presented each year to high school students allow them to meet and exchange leadership experiences with students from other schools.
With Hampden-Wilbraham Partnership for Youth Coalition, we co-sponsor participation of high school students in the National Leadership Forum for making communities healthy, safe, and drug-free.
Most recently, we co-sponsored the well attended “Let’s Talk about Vaping” family event. Next month we will help bring to our school district the Search Institute to lead a leadership development workshop for up to 50 students in grades 7-11.
We will be happy to tell you more about our activities or host you at our meeting. Please send us a message using CONTACT US page.
